Indications
- For prevention of dehydration & management of diarrhea

Composition
Each 10 gm sachet contains-
- Dried Sucrose: 6.35 gm
- Glucose Anhydrous: 0.5 gm
- Sodium Chloride: 1.5 gm
- Citric Acid Anhydrous: 0.587 gm
- Potassium Chloride: 0.587 gm
- Ti Sodium Citrale Dihydrate: 0.146 gm
- Flavour: qs
Dosage & Administration
The amount of water removed from the body, an equivalent quantity of mixture should be given. After each loose motion.
- Children below 2 years: 50-100 ml (10-20 teaspoonfuls) prepared saline.
- Children between 2-10 years: 100-200 ml (20-40 teaspoonful) prepared saline.
- Children above 10 years and adults: 200-400 ml (1-2 glasses) of prepared saline.
Precautions & Warnings
ORS should not be mixed with hot water and the mixture should not be heated. The mixture must be discarded after 12 hours from preparation.
